Story 3 – This story is about my father, Scott Taylor, during the 2019-2020 coronavirus pandemic. We receive insight into how this virus affects workers as a whole and how it affects Colgate-Palmolive. The deeper we dig the more we find out about how this overall COVID-19 affects his health and the things he wishes the world would do. The purpose of this story was to focus on how to cover a featured and highly discussed topic of coronavirus during a crisis. For my focus I put most of the emphasis of the story on figuring out how this virus affected workers mental health, especially people like my father. The positive outcome that came from this story was figuring out how to write a story about someone close to me without being biased.

Story 2 – This story is about the first home Muskingum baseball game on March 11, 2020. This game was against Denison on a pretty chilly afternoon. This story has many different highlights from different perspectives from which are covered in my story. The purpose of this story which I covered was to learn mobile photography and all aspects revolving around it. For my focus on the baseball game I mainly focused on action packed photos to give the audience the feel of actually being absorbed into the game. When you look at my story you can see my favorites are photos five and eleven. For the positive outcome from this story, I learned a lot from this from how to shoot mobile photography to the rule of thirds, and even to the smallest factors that play into it such as not shooting into the sun.

Story 1 – This story is about an undercover narcotics agent. The man that I had the pleasure of talking to was Mr. Marty Scott. In this story we follow him from his childhood to becoming an adult and how it all played out to become an Undercover Narcotics Agent. The purpose of this story was to learn how to write in depth questions and interview a highly respected man for the first time. My focus on this story was to see how his rough childhood played a role into him becoming the man he is today and how it affected his life in becoming an undercover agent. For my positive outcome from this story, I learned a lot from it as it was my first ever story I’ve ever written with taking all the steps to preparing good questions, interviewing Marty Scott, and getting it to my own personal website.
